Roses For MyGrand- Mother

If Roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in myGrand-mothers arms
and tell her they're from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.

When I first saw the question, “What are you thankful for?”, my answer was immediate. I am thankful for my family and especially Riley.I am thankful for the smiles Riley Gives, for the feel of his arms strangling my neck, for the trust I see in his eyes, for the peace I see in his face when he is asleep, for the simple fact that he is alive. I am thankful for my good husband, who is always so supportive, loving and helpful. he is the greatest love that has come into my life, for all the great times have out weighed the bad times one hundred times over. I'm thankful for his openness, his wonderful green eyes and the way his hand feels in mine He works so hard to make sure I can stay home and takes care of us so well. My family, for giving me the best memories anyone could ask for and the love and support I need to live a fullfilled life. I'm thankful for my dad. He's a good one. I'm thankful for my caring and sensitive mother even if she is no longer here; for my grandparents & for good friends .

I had a post ready to go yesterday and riley being the little booger he is turned the computer off on me :)

i am 7 Months old today, i have been doing so many new and exciting things here are a few... i can crawl, i have pulled myself up to stand (i have the bruises to proove it), i learned how to wave goodbye only i do it backwards, i have transitioned from the little baby tub to the big boy tub for my daily cleansing rituals, i have found my "unmentionable" part and i dont like to keep my hand off if it for one second, i have 4 teeth..and more on the way. i am sure there is more but the closest thing that i am having for a brainstorn is a light drizzle.

on to Diaper Diaries..

lets be honest. Most baby items are really for mommies. Baby swings? they keep baby happily in motion while you go to the bathroom, make a phone call, and load the dishwasher. The stuffed animals that cost $20 usually just ends up on the shelf in the nursery, while the baby drags around a bald troll he found at the park. In truth babies can do without a lot of the pricey paraphernalia we moms have deemed indeispensable. Surely you have noticed that a baby will enjoy and appreciate an item in inverse proportion to the cost of said item. in other words, he'll spend about 27 seconds focused on the stand alone computerized infant learning center ($199.99) and four hours happily whacking the cofee table with one of the pieces of styrofoam packaging. So it makes sense to find free or inexpensive substitutions for many of the more expensive baby items.

Instead of buying*/* Just use

Baby swing, Jumpy seat */*Aunt Nancys lap

farm animal mobile*/* funny clown drawing by 5 year old neighbor

Stimulating floor quilt */*The ground

Overpriced play station */*an empty box

Toys Guarenteed to provide */*Roll of toilet paper
hours of enjoyment

*Lets tally up our Savings *

Total cost */*Total of sugested substitutes
$1,045.20/// $36.77

*Feeding aunt nancy lunch $9.58
*replacing items broken during wild anthonys
Visit $24.50
*Toilet Paper $2.69

I Havent Posted in a few days so i thought that i would catch up.. we had a very busy day today riley had 2 appointments 1 with wic and also his 6 month checkup. Riley now weighs ( Drum Roll Please) 17lbs 10 oz and is a whopping 27 inches long. everyone at WIC was amazed at how well riley was moving around. Maybe he will be walking at 9 months ;).. Bryan and i both were early walkers so you never know i suppose. Riley also got his last set of boosters until he is a year old.. thank goodness for that. although he was in a great mood after recieving them. he acted like nothing had happened. and played all day today with mckynna.. they were fighting over toys it was really cute.
